# Billing (/settings/billing)





The Billing page shows your active subscription, payment history, and a button to cancel.

On the free plan there's no subscription to manage — Billing is where you upgrade to Pro. See [what's included in each plan](/faq).

## Subscription [#subscription]

* Current plan (Pro monthly at $29.99, or the discounted yearly option)
* Status (see the table below)
* Next renewal date
* Switch monthly ↔ yearly (prorated)

## Payment history [#payment-history]

A table of every invoice with the date, amount, status, and a **Download PDF** link.

## Trial [#trial]

Subscribing to Pro starts a **3-day trial** with full feature access. You're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. You'll see the trial end date in the subscription card while you're on the trial.

## Cancel [#cancel]

Click **Cancel subscription**. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.

## Subscription status [#subscription-status]

| Status            | What it means                                               |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Trial**         | Free trial in progress                                      |
| **Active**        | Paid and current                                            |
| **Payment issue** | Your most recent payment didn't go through — we're retrying |
| **Canceled**      | You've canceled; access continues until your period ends    |
| **Ended**         | Your period has ended; articles stop generating             |
