# Keywords (/dashboard/mentions/keywords)



Mentions only looks for threads that match your active keywords. Pick the topics your customers actually ask about.

## Adding keywords [#adding-keywords]

Type a keyword — for example, "link management tools" — and click **Add** or press Enter. Keywords are saved in lowercase, and each keyword can only be added once.

## Importing from your articles [#importing-from-your-articles]

Click **Import from Content Plan** to reuse the keywords from your [Content Automation](/dashboard/content-plan) articles. Pick the ones you want, or use **Select all**. Each keyword is marked **New** or **In your list**, and paused keywords can be switched back on with **Activate**.

## Managing your list [#managing-your-list]

* **Source** shows whether a keyword came from your Content Plan or was added manually.
* The **Active** toggle pauses a keyword without deleting it.
* The trash icon deletes a keyword right away. Threads it already found stay in your [Feed](/dashboard/mentions/feed).
* Use **Filter keywords...** to search a long list.
