DIY Backlinks gives you a hand-picked list of 45 high-authority directories where you can submit your site yourself. It's free on every plan, and it's the fastest way to build a new domain's authority without waiting on anyone.

## How to use it [#how-to-use-it]

The directories are grouped into five tiers, ranked by Domain Rating. Start at **Tier 1** and work down — the top tiers carry the most authority.

1. Open a directory card and click **Submit** — you'll see where to go and what to enter.
2. Submit your site on the directory, then mark the card done.
3. **Dismiss** anything that doesn't fit your business; you can revoke a submission or dismissal later.

The stats bar tracks your progress: how many directories you've submitted to, what's still pending, and the Domain Rating points you've gained so far.
